Tony Fairweather

Partner

Tony FairweatherTony Fairweather leads the corporate and listings group. Tony primarily advises upon IPO prospectuses and ASX listings, equity capital raisings, general corporate acquisition work and provides regulatory and strategic advice.

Tony was previously a partner of a boutique Perth legal firm where he specialised in corporate advisory work.

Since the establishment of Fairweather & Lemonis, Tony has been engaged upon prospectus capital raisings (both IPO and reverse takeovers) for a number of companies that are significant in their industries including Mirabela Nickel Limited, Territory Resources Limited, Greenland Minerals and Energy Limited, WildHorse Energy Limited and Medusa Mining Limited. The business markets of IPO's the firm has acted upon have been located in both Australia and overseas and include mining and resources (gold, nickel, uranium, base metals), oil and gas, biofuels and pharmaceutical and biotechnology.

Tony provides corporate legal services to a range of ASX and unlisted public companies as well as stockbroking and financial services providers upon corporate transactions.

Tony was a non-executive director of an ASX listed company for 4 years.

 

Stephen Lemonis

Partner

Stephen LemonisStephen leads the litigation group. Stephen is responsible for the corporate and commercial litigation conducted by the firm.

Stephen was previously a partner of a boutique Perth legal firm for 2 years where he specialised in corporate litigation work. Prior to then he spent approximately 4 years working in Sydney, as a senior litigation lawyer.

Stephen practices in corporate and commercial litigation, regulatory investigations and white collar crime.

Stephen has recently acted on the defence of charges brought by ASIC arising out of the collapse of a major Australian corporation and on numerous ASIC related investigations, primarily into public companies.

 

Danielle McGrath

Consultant

Danielle McGrathDanielle McGrath commenced as an associate in the corporate and listings group in September 2007. 

Danielle is a senior lawyer with extensive ASX experience.

Danielle has more than 14 years legal experience including being employed for 8 years as Legal Counsel for ASX Sydney before returning to ASX Perth.  Whilst at ASX Perth, Danielle was Assistant Manager, Issuers for ASX Perth.  In this role, she provided expert guidance to Perth based listed companies on Listing Rules compliance and was responsible for managing applications for new listings.

Danielle advises our corporate clients on all aspects of ASX related matters, equity capital raising and prospectuses in addition to providing corporate and transactional advice.

 

Mintie Tantiprasut

Senior Associate

Mintie TantiprasutMintie joined Fairweather & Lemonis in February 2004 and works in the litigation group. She was admitted to practice in July 2001. Mintie graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Major in Japanese Studies).

Mintie has worked in general corporate and commercial litigation since commencing her articles. She has experience in conducting matters in the Supreme Court, District Court, the Federal Court, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the State Administrative Tribunal including appeals to the Full Court of the Supreme Court and the Federal Court.

Mintie's experience in litigation also includes conducting mediations (formal and informal) and achieving positive results for clients without the necessity for the matters to proceed to trial.

Mintie's experience includes the conduct of matters such as trade practices claims, injunction applications, examination of directors pursuant to the Corporations Act, applying for and opposing applications for winding up of companies, restraint of trade cases, ASIC banning order proceedings and litigation involving property disputes.

Mintie has experience in providing corporate and general commercial advice. Mintie works primarily in commercial and corporate litigation matters at Fairweather & Lemonis in addition to having the conduct of commercial matters.

 

Avianne Bredmeyer

Senior Associate

Avianne BredmeyerAvianne works in the corporate and listings group.  Avianne holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Notre Dame Australia. She completed her law degree in 2001 and was admitted to practice in March 2003.

Avianne joined Fairweather & Lemonis in January 2005 after three years with a national law firm, where she worked predominantly in the area of banking and finance and also gained experience in general corporate and commercial practice and litigation.

Avianne practices principally in corporate and commercial law. She has had the conduct of matters incorporating the drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial agreements including share sale and sale of business assets agreements, executive service agreements, royalty agreements and consultancy agreements.

Avianne also has experience in the areas of capital and debt raisings, Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules compliance and general corporate advice. She has prepared solicitors reports for prospectuses and drafted IPO, short form and transaction specific prospectuses.

Avianne has experience in finance transaction documents, the conduct of due diligence investigations and mining and resources law.
